Abstract Submission

General Guidelines - Terms & Conditions

Please read the submission rules before submitting an abstract.

  • Abstracts must be original and must not have been published or presented at any other conference.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English using exclusively the on-line system of the Conference webpage.
  • Abstracts submitted via any other means will not be accepted.

Abstract Content Details

Please follow the template. Submitted files that do not follow the template will be rejected immediately.

  • One registration is allowed to submit 1 abstract only.

ABSTRACT

  • Abstract should be no longer than 250 words (download the abstract template HERE).
  • Please ensure that the abstract text is fully proofread and free of typographical and grammatical errors
  • An abstract body should briefly mention the research objective/aims, main findings, and conclusions.

 GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT (Optional)

  • The graphical abstract should summarize or describe the main content of the research in a concise and visually appealing way to increase the visibility of the abstract and help the reader better understand the research.
  • The guidelines to be referred:
    • Submit a graphical abstract as a separate file during the submission process.
    • The image should be at least 531 x 1328 pixels (height x width) or proportionally larger so that it is readable at a size of 5 x 13 cm and a standard screen resolution of 96 dpi.
    • Acceptable file formats for graphical abstracts are JPEG and PNG files.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Your abstract and graphical abstract must be free of exclusive third-party usage rights.
  • All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The author acting as contact person will be informed on the status of the submitted abstract (acceptance/rejection), its presentation type, and the final presentation number.
  • Registration must be received no later than 31 August 2026 to ensure that your abstract is included in the conference programme and scheduled for presentation. Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline.
  • The deadline for an abstract submission is 31 August 2026.

With your submission, you declare the following:

  • As the author of the abstract and on behalf of all authors, you grant to Malaysian Natural Products Society (MNPS) the non-exclusive rights of use of your abstract, including graphical abstract for the purpose of publication in printed and electronic media published by the MNPS.
  • As the author of the work and on behalf of all authors, you have obtained any and all necessary licenses for using the graphical abstract.

Upon submission of the registration form, participants will receive a confirmation email from the Secretariat.  The receipt of payment or other payment-related documents will be emailed within 14 working days.

For presenters (oral or poster), please register through the 'Abstract Submission' section first. The acceptance of your presentation, along with your ID number and presentation slot, will be confirmed after a thorough review process by our reviewers, and only upon receipt of payment by the stipulated deadline (Early Birds: 30th June 2026, Normal Rate: 31st August 2026)

Publication Oppurtunities

CRNP

Contemporary Research in Natural Products (CRNP) is the official open-access journal of the Malaysian Society of Natural Products (MNPS), dedicated to sharing knowledge and documenting information which will potentially be of value towards application of natural products as medicine, nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, aroma chemicals, and agrochemicals. The journal publishes original scholarly contributions in natural products research, focusing on substances derived from terrestrial and marine plants, microbes, and animals. It considers interdisciplinary articles that explore the chemistry, biology, biochemistry and preclinical pharmacology of natural products, utilizing contemporary methods and approaches in the relevant fields. Critical reviews, full research papers, and short communications are welcomed for Special Issue: ICNP2026.

A. Duration

  • Keynote Lecture: 40 minutes
  • Jack Cannon Lecture: 40 minutes
  • Plenary Lecture: 40 minutes
  • Invited speaker: 30 minutes
  • Oral presentations: 10 or 15 minutes (to be updated)

B. Presentation Format

  1. Acceptable digital format presentation—16x9 .ppt or .pptx and .pdf file.
  2. Presentation laptops will be provided in the session halls. Please note that a presentation with your own laptop is not possible.
  3. All presentations shall be provided to the Slide Center at least one hour before the presentation time or the day before in case of a morning session.
  4. You can download the ICNP 2026 [link: conference banner] and [link: logo] to use them in your oral presentation.
  5. The official language is English.

Poster Presentation

Poster Format

    1. All posters must be prepared in English
    2. The poster should include:
      • the title, author(s), affiliation(s), background section (which covers the introduction, research gap, and objectives), methodology, findings (including results and discussion), conclusion, acknowledgments, references, and contact information (QR code).
    3. Please prepare and bring your poster in PORTRAIT format (Size: A1, W 59.4 x H 84.1 cm). (refer to the poster template). Posters that exceed the above dimensions will not be displayed on site.
    4. Poster boards will be numbered according to the numbering of posters as given in the Programme.
    5. Poster boards will be provided for mounting the posters.
    6. Mounting material will be provided on-site upon registration.
    7. The judging process will be carried out during the coffee/tea breaks. Poster presenters must be present during the evaluation process.
